The company was started by Ashley Winston. Ashley is an ex-marketing specialist and probably the biggest car nut in the world. Having bought dozens and dozens of cars throughout his life and experienced some horrible situations, he realised that there must be a better way of handling such an expensive purchase in a largely unregulated industry.
Initially, Palmdale was only offered to people already living in the UK but we soon became very involved in the relocation industry and are proud to have helped hundreds of people who are either soon to arrive here or are new to the UK. Our expertise in this area has even won us an Association of Relocation Professionals award.
The level of client support we offer is something we’re especially proud of. Yes, we’re here to find cars and arrange finance if necessary but once a client has a car they can ask for whatever other support they need. This includes us buying the car back when they’re ready to move on again.
Our office team are predominantly based in west London (not far from Heathrow airport), but our mobile team deliver cars all over England, Wales, Scotland and even Ireland.

We were very proud when Moneyweek’s Editor in Chief, Merryn Somerset-Webb, became a Palmdale Car Finders client.
At the same time as we were searching for her MINI, unknown to us, she was writing a piece for her weekly Financial Times column about her disappointment with the UK car sales industry and how we were the solution to her troubles.
